I just graduated from Upper Merion Area Middle School just last year, and i felt like they helped me accomplish what i needed to accomplish in the years that i was there, the teachers are wonderful, and helpful.

Excellent curriculum, beautiful facilities, great teachers...just wish they had recess for the fifth and sixth graders.

I went through all four grades of UM middle school and switched to a private school for high school. I wonder why I didn't do it sooner. After I switched, I noticed that I was behind in English, math, and French compared to my new classmates. This was a wake-up call considering that I was one of the best students in my grade. Even as a middle schooler, I had always known that UM was not up to par, but I really enjoyed the extracurriculars, especially band and Reading Olympics. Basically, UM middle school is an okay school. Be warned, if you switch to another school, be prepared to play catch-up.

Upper Merion Middle School is an okay school district, but the math program is poor compared to other public schools in PA. Students that eventually graduate from the district high school also have lower test scores compared to students from neighboring school districts. Teachers in general are extremely supportive and there is a wide range of extracurriculars.

my daughter is in learning support at upper merion, and I cannot believe the difference. She is so eager to learn, and loves going. The teachers are on top of things and get parents in the loop.

UM is an awesome district. almost all of the teachers are really nice and helpful. It's only fault is the math program. I would have to say it is not up to par with many other schools in PA.

I agree that U.M in general lacks in the math area. I like the school and believe that it offers great activities. The teachers are alright. there's a 50/50 chance that you will get a very good teacher. But there are some great teachers there. It has ok test scores, but there are many many doubts in my mind about sending my child to the high school when there are so many better schools in the area.
