I have two children that attended MHSE last year. My one daughter was in Kindergarten and my other was in first grade. The kindergartner absolutely loved school and her teacher was wonderful. My first grader was having a bit of trouble this year. At the beginning of the school year, they go over everything they learned the year prior and that was easy for her. When the math came on and the harder weekly spelling tests, she was beside herself. She had emotional breakdowns in school and had actually REFUSED to do work. That was not my daughter. She never acts like that. We had her tested for any kind of learning problems and everything turned out to be fine, but I have to say the way that this faculty worked with her was amazing!!! I would reccommend MHSE to ANYONE!!!!

This used to be a fabulous school. I think most of the teachers truly care about the students. However, the curriculum is set up to pass the children, not to challenge them. The principal does not allow teachers to teach and be creative. My daughter in first grade is learning what she learned in Pre-K and Kindergarten. Parents cannot effectively assist their children with reviews and studying, because they do not provide Math facts and spelling info on a regular basis.

I have a autistic son there and he receives great care. The teachers really care about not only his academics, but his social and emotional well being also.
