My 5 year old son is in first year of schooling(K) @ NOE. It is the schools' first year of full day k. I am so proud of how much he has learn to date. In the first quarter he came home singing songs that helped him spell all 8 colors, and has moved on to reading firat grade level books with ease. He is always excited to go to school each day and loves his teacher(wants to invite her to his birthday party). The class room is so well organized and the phonics program is amazing. His favorite part of school is his kid writting he does each day. Through his journals we see so much progress. The PTO is very active with fundrasing and my sons favorite skating parties.
Two of my children attended NOE and had a great experience there. They had wonderful, caring teachers for K-3 grades. The PTO and administration are very attentive to student needs and make many efforts to include families in classroom and extracurricular activities. I would recommend this school over the other parochial and public schools in the New Oxford and Hanover areas.
its a great school!!! i love the fact that if any student need that one on one they make shore that he or she receives it. they help my son become more independent and out going and sociable. so i would recommend this school to any body
This school provided my special needs child with no help in any area. He had food allergies in which they did not pay attention to either. The teacher insisted that he knew how to read the first three months of first grade, even though there seemed to be no phonics lessons. There were extracurricular activities available. There seemed to be not much parent envolvement. The building itself is dark and the boy children do not have enclosed bathrooms, they have to walk down a long hallway to use the bathroom by themselves. Overall, I would rate this school as very poor.
