D. Newlin Fell must be a very progressive school. If you are considering this school for your child, please Google the school name and see what pops up. Sorry to be so criptic but I want to comply with the guidlines here.

This School has to be one of the worst schools in South Philly. My Son attended this school this year and he is always getting bullied. All the kids there seem to be rude, disrespectful, little brats. One day when I came to pick my son up I saw a kid get sucked into a fight! I also remember when I came to pick him up early, I saw little kindergardeners cursing with very foul words! This school has got to be terrible! there's always fights, lazy staff, disrespectful students, and no parent should bring their child to this school.

I think D.Newlin Fell School is a great school, my daughter came here from Catholic school and is doing so much better academically. There are more resourses here for children with Reading problems. I would recommend this school to all parents who care about there childs education..

I am a parent of a prior student who graduated with high honors from this school. The staff there is second to none. I have never had any problems with this school. I have 2 children who atteded there and i would reccomend this school to anybody. This school is the best kept secret in south philly.

My son is treated great here. The teachers and the staff have always answered my questions. His teachers always have kept me informed of any difficulties he may be having. I am very pleased with this school and would recommend it to othere parents.

I am a parent of an exstudent of this school. I just want to caution others to make sure that you monitor your children's grades. I had to have my son's report card grade corrected due to an incorrect entry. It would not have come to light if I hadn't been watching his average throughout the school year. As for the fighting and management problems inthis school..get to know the School Reform Commission and the Office of School Management Departments- together we can bring change.

They should be ashamed of how they run this school. Very unsafe atmosphere.

Inattentive staff. Fighting in the school. Slow response time from the staff with regards to discipline and emergency matters. Good teachers and location, are this school's redeeming qualities.

It appears to be very organized and secure however, the staff are very inattentive.

I am disappointed at the discipline level at this school. It has a lot of fights, and not even an officer there would do anything. I saw a fight and food fight occur in the cafeteria with my own eyes, when i came to give my son his lunch. The school police officer just sat and watched it all. Also, the students only got 3days with no recess, I think that much more could and should have been done.

The discipline must be stronger across the board. So all children can reach the proper level of learning and not be held back cause of the few problem children. One apple can spoil the bunch.
