We are new to York and to be honest when I first saw Ferguson(from the outside) my heart sank. After going into the school and speaking to the staff, I was thrilled my son would be attending school there. The school is under going a major renovation which in turn will make Ferguson a 'green school'. His teacher is well seasoned and firm but not stunch. Extra help is offered and encourged for kids who are below the bar. York is very diverse so in a public school setting your child could pick up a few things you would wish they would miss at a young age. The world is diverse. If you do your job, follow thru with homework and concerns your child will learn. Not to mention the education he will gain from the diverse atmosphere.
