My youngest is attending this school right now... I am very pleased. His teachers work to challenge him (he's in the Advanced Learner's Program)and they work to actively engage students both in the classroom and with projects. Strict discipline and dress code. 2 Guidance Counselors; on-site Resource Officer; full-time nurse in Clinic; Day Treatment services available. Band, Chorus, Art, Computer Applications, Technology, Agriculture, and Consumer Science electives available. High School credit courses offered: Latin I, Spanish I, Algebra I, Geometry. Advanced English and Math classes offered for all 3 grades. Middle School or JV sports: Cross Country, Football, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Basketball, Indoor Track, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, Tennis, Golf. Community Sports available. Other activities: Marching Band/Color Guard, FFA, 4-H, Math Counts Team, Odyssey of the Mind Team, LEGO Team, Yearbook staff, Guitar Club, Crochet Club. The school welcomes parent involvement, but not many parents take them up on it.

Find something you are good at or enjoy doing a lot, just one thing. You'll gain confidence and meet other kids that enjoy that activity too. Mine was singing in choir. I wasn't good at anything else but that built my confidence for other things... More »
