Very good school. My son was attending another school in the Plano area & before that, Louisiana. He's come a long way since being in Texas schools. They put so much more into the children in their learning & every day activities. My only complaint is the 30 minutes a day for lunch isn't enough. I never did that while I was at school. Yet, I do know how much times have changed. Those children wait in line for some time just to get their lunches, by that time they have 5-10 minutes to eat.
We pulled our son out of a small private school and put him into the 4th grade at McKamy this year. We have been EXTREMELY please with everything about the school. It is diverse, ethnically, socially and economically, which we love. I noticed one comment about the young teachers, but we see that as an advantage - from our experience, they are very much up on the newest and most effective teaching methods. In the past, our son had a great deal of difficulty composition, but within just a couple of months, he was writing three and four page stories with no problem. We HIGHLY recommend McKamy.

The school is very diverse in ethnicity, and thankfully all kids are treated equally. The teachers are phenomenal.
