I wish some of the male students were observed instead of it just being assumed that they have manners, discipline and respect for women. These students are not supposed to sit there waiting for women to walk by to then turn, stand, leer, wolf whistle, shout things out.
Well-structured, safe school that provides quality education while instilling high expectations for every student. Central location, easy access to BART and public transportation as well as shopping areas. My children have benefitted greatly from OMIA.
My son will graduate from OMI this year. He has attended public school, private school and boarding school. This is BY FAR the best school he has ever attended. The teachers are top notch, and the entire staff genuinely cares about your student. A student that successfully completes the program at OMI wil be ready to enter a FOUR YEAR COLLEGE. Add to that that the school is FREE and this is the best investment that you could make for your child. Yes it is a military school, so do not enroll your child if you dont want him or her to come home calling you Ma'am or Sir, dressing neating every morning, learning organizational and leadership skills on a daily basis, or striving to better themsleves and become responsible adults. I urge you to call and find out more about the school for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!
My son graduated in OMI's first graduating class in 2007. I still stay in involved and in touch with students, parents, teachers, cadre and administration from OMI because I feel so strongly that OMI is a wonderful school that is constantly growing and getting even better. When my son is home on rare breaks from college he goes immediately to OMI to volunteer and interact with the school that means so much to him, and he always will!
