Pickens County High School

I am a Senior at PHS and I'm no athelete and my opinion for these other reviews are totally from negative people who just look at the bad things and put no effort into school. I have been to ALL the Pickens County GA schools have met some of the greatest teachers of my life. School is not about having friends or being popular and i have learned that the hard way. I know what I plan to do in the future and that is thanks to my teachers and counselors. Yes, there probably is rude and spoiled people, but at every school there is. Yes, there probably are teachers who are only there for the check but everywhere there will be people who only need the money. Also, if for some reason you find a problem with your cafeteria lunch, dont be lazy and make your lunch.

Pickens High is a great school that offers specialized classes beyond the basics. It also values the arts as much as the other classes.

I moved up here this year and thought it would be alot easier than my old school. Well, i was right but that only is because they don't care what you do or if you do any of your work. Just about every teacher is there to get a pay check and not to teach. They dont care anything about your future. Out of all the counselors only one will help you with what you really want to do for your future. The only thing that really matters at Pickens is the sports. If you arent and athlete than you might as well consider your self a no body. No one likes to get along like they should. They all talk crap about you. There are alot of fights at this school. I dont advise any one to go there.

I am currently attending Pickens High School as a Junior, I dislike this school to the extreme! All the students are rude and spoiled, the staff and teachers are rude and they treat students unfairly. This school is very boring, the teachers do not like to teach and sometimes refuse to deal with their own responsibilities. I do not advise anyone move to Jasper Georgia, in fact, i suggest we move away. Mostly everyone who attends this school hates it and the teachers, the administration team are rude and hate students. The dress code has some of the most pathetic rules. I have found a insect in my ranch dressing with my salad at lunch? That tells you it's not very clean at all! Us students are so un happy with the teachers and how they treat us, everyone is rude!
