I am very pleased with the direction that PCMS seems to be headed. With a new building and administration, along with some great, caring teachers, this school is a school our community can now be proud of.

I wish a JROTC program would come to PCMS. THe new bldg is great, but the dicipline needs to improve. I hope with the new principal and staff there, it will get better. They should inforce a little better dress code with some of the kids. SOme of them look like they never change clothes. I hope the lunch gets better. It often is so bad my kids don't eat at all. I would like to see more money funded toward a new auditorium and less towards football. THe old school auditorium is a disgrace. The whole community uses it, so it shoud be a priority. I would like to see better comminication from the teachers/school as a whole. No notes ever seem to make it home about anything. (dances, clubs, etc) I feel left out as a parent.

Pike County has excellent schools! I attended Pike County Schools and my children are there now. My oldest is twelve and we have experienced only positive results from Pike County Schools. We are getting a new middle school. It will be ready for the 2008/2009 school year. Yay!

Pike county schools system overall is about a 4 star. I know that when I send a letter in requesting information that I ususally get a call that day that I sent the letter and get explainations to my questions.I would like to see more afterschool options for the kids
