I love Colonial Hills because of our first-rate teachers, staff and our Principal. There is strong parent involvement and community support.
I am a parent of a Colonial Hills special needs student, my son has behavioral issues and was placed in an intergrated Kindergarten classroom with a teacher named Mrs. Deagle. She is just the sweetest and most genuinely caring teacher I have had the pleasure of meeting. My son has an IEP in place from our previous school district and if your looking for that teacher to leep you informed on your child's progress she is a keeper. She emails and makes phone calls! My son has made a lot of progress and the team IEP met with me several times over the year in order to keep what was best for my son in mind. Ultimately, we decided that Bluffsview would be better for him because they have a better program designed for his particular needs but I still would recommend this school to anyone, its small but diverse.

I hope your child doesn't have special needs- worthington may be rated an excellent school, but certainly not for those children who have special needs above and beyond what the teacher provides for her 'typical' students. Rather than rendering support for problems, many of the teachers are punitive and punish children for symptoms related to medical conditions relating to Autism and ADD-- certainly not acceptable support or free appropriate public education for those special children who by law are entitled to it.
