Cooper is amazing it has made great things in my life. I got to meet some amazing friends and teachers, mr favor is a reallly cool principal and i'm happy to be a part of cooper and i plan to graduate from cooper and have an amazing 3 yrs that i have left. Im a sophmore now there and my freshmen year went great.

from personal experience, Cooper was good to me and I'm glad to have attended all 4 years. It's sports TEAMS could be better, but the attention shown to the athletic department could be diverted to it's more succesful arts program, where funding is needed. overall, Cooper is an excellent school. Go Hawks!

For those that think that Cooper is a poor school, then possibly they aren't looking in the right areas. Cooper is one of the few metro schools that offers the IB program, and is one of the few schools that highly succeeds at it. The academic levels of those enrolled students is far beyond subpar, and the IB program and the teachers involved are mainly to thank. Though I will agree that certain leadership problems have hindered the schools progress, the new principal for 2005-6 appears extremely promising as he believes in fine arts as a focal point of high school education, rather than just sports. As for sports going to shambles? Would you rather have your child have an education, or some trophies? If you're looking for the trophies, please, send your child to Armstrong. However, for a child willing and wanting to learn, Cooper is exceptional.

Cooper is not as good a school as it used to be. For the past two years, it has suffered from poor leadership. The current principal is leaving, and the hope is that the new one will help provide the needed leadership. There are some very good teachers at the school, who are hampered because of political correctness. Aside from Wrestling, Lacrosse and track, the rest of the athletic program is a shambles-a shadow of it's glory days. My son has had 8 counselors in his 4 years at the school, he recieved next to zero help from the guidance office. Cooper High School is a poster child of why parents are taking their kids out of the Robbinsdale school district and going with private or home schooling.
