I am a student a Doyline High School and i would have to say that it is by far the best school i've been to. I've moved quite a bit in my school years. When my mom moved us to doyline i hadnt expected to stay until i graduated. I am a senior this year and proud to be a Doyline Graduate. We might be a small school and we may not have very many options but our teachers are great and only a few don't know what thery are doing. Mr. Rolwland is our new principle and he is actually doing some good for our school. If you don't like our school then leave and don't put us down because some of us are acutally happy here.
I moved to Doyline from a medium sized town in the North. I must say that I am wasting away here! I have been here for quite awhile now, and each day I become more and more disappointed. Yes I have made some really great friends and am fitting in well, but the school work is practically elementry. I am not challenged at all, and I actually feel like I'm losing brain cells just attending. It is ridiculous, I have a math teacher who is actually an English teacher and not qualified to teach math, but does because there is no one else. I have a science teacher only certified to teach physical science and biology, but teaches chemistry and Biology 2 (even though the teacher claims he hasn't been given a course guide for biology two and doesn't know what he is doing). Also, it is a town of drugs!

We now have a new principal at Doyline. I feel that he is going to be great for the school. However, baseball and basketball are the only thing this school offers. Most teachers give special attention to the ball players. They get by with things that others don't. This is very unfair. I feel Doyline needs to bring back Home Ec and offer more classes that makes kids college prepared. Also more shop classes for guys who need to learn a trade and don't plan to attend college. Mr Heflin is a great teacher, leader, and friend and very capable of teaching this young men a trade.
