This school is a middle of the road experience. I am not sure it is worth the tuition. My child enjoys going and has kind teachers that are doing a fair job. Whenever I ask how my child is doing academically, I get the average response that he is doing well, but can't get any details. This leads me to believe that they are not really developing one on one relationships with the kids. Since my child is well behaved and likes school, he is off the radar and not really getting any attention that is above and beyond (which is what I would expect at this tuition rate and with the curriculum that is being touted). They have had a change in director from the time I enrolled my child, with Ms. Denise, to the time that the school year began. Parents were not notified until well into the fall after the new director had been in place for several months. They could use some streamlining in organization as well. I was excited at first, with the staff's friendliness and the curriculum and was looking forward to enrolling my second child. But now that the excitement has worn off, this place is OK, but not great. Will be looking for something better at this price-point.

I have two children at CBMS and have been very happy with their education. My kids LOVE going to school. The school HAS had its administrative challenges to be sure, but it never appears to affect the love and care that the teachers give the children. Also, upon first glance, the facility may not be shiny and new like some other montessori schools but the quality if the education is still there. I also LOVE that my kids get to play in the HUGE back yard. This school caters to young children but it is a school, complete with a PTO, awesome spring and fall festivals, book fairs, and other fundraisers, etc. The office staff has always been immediately responsive to any concerns. If you are looking for a purely "daycare" situation, this is not the place - it is so much more and parental involvement is key to your child's success. Finally, I LOVE the diversity at this school. I love that when we go to birthday parties, all the kids play together and get along so well. All the parents that I've met have been super nice as well. Over all, I love the school and plan to keep my kids here through kindergarten and then move them up the hill to CBA.

I would just like to say that in the last two years CBMS has improved vastly under new leadership. Ms. Kristin, Ms. Shelia and Ms. Denise have turned it back into the school it once was. My kids love Ms. Shelia. She always has a smile on her face and a hand to offer to help with whatever you need. Parents are welcomed anytime, there is constantly something new for the kids to learn, issues that arise are dealt with quickly BEFORE they become problems, the whole school has had a makeover with new equipment and such but it still maintains that same "homey" feel. The teachers really CARE about the children they teach and the whole family. I wish we could stay longer, but we are moving to CBA for 1st grade. The children seem truly happy and I visit often as a volunteer in the classroom.

Dear Prospective Montessori Parents, Hello, my name is Denise and I'm the new Director at CBMS. I welcome you to schedule a tour of our beautiful Montessori campus. It would be my pleasure to show you around our spacious 5 acre school. During your tour, please be sure to notice children with a love for learning and teachers that nurture each child as they mature academically, socially, and behaviorally. I look forward to meeting you and your family! Thank you, Denise R. Glass CBMS Director

No one should put up with this. Take it as high as you need to go and follow up everything in writing. Even so far as going to your local paper. School A tolerates bullying and won't help children being victimized. They will listen after that!

What do you do with bulling teachers? Our kids were bullied by teachers and the school defended the teachers. And there is no way for school to remove a tenured bully teacher.

This page logs your answer multiple times, anyway, now we are putting her in private school, the older she gets, the more aggressive the kids around her get & we dont want to see how far it goes, especially when they arent disciplined properly.
