I could not agree more with the prior poster (2 star rating). The school had great ideas, but those ideas were poorly executed. Lesson plans were created while the children were sent outside each day 'to play' (for extended periods of time). The teacher we had was not prepared. The parents set up the room, managed the activities, watched the kids on the playground, and cleaned up at the end of the day - sometimes over 1 hour of clean-up...bathrooms, snack areas, etc. There are many hidden costs at the school, and you are continually asked to donate money for some cause. This is a for-profit school, and you do really end up wondering where the money went. Hygiene was less than acceptable. This is not a place I would recommend to another parent.

In my one year experience at this school everything felt disorganized. More important, I found the teachers, director and support staff unwelcoming the entire year. The student/teacher ratio in my child s class was 19:1. A parent co-op school, they refer to parents as teachers, but parents at this school are the clean-up crew, not teachers. There were cliques between the teacher and parents and my child's teacher blatantly played favorites. You can t go to the director to get a question answered, she defers all to the board. In my experience, it can literally take weeks to get a question answered and rudely at that. I don't trust this school. They are very aggressive with their fundraisers and parents do everything...and at the end of the year I was left wondering where all the money went.

Creative Children's Center offers wonderful preschool and kindergarten programs for ages 2 to 6. They are very respectful of all children and are inspired by constructivist philosophies and Reggio Amelia. We have been there for two years and have been very impressed with the level of dedication from the families and teachers. CCC is a coop school in which parents engage in the learning process along with their children. Parents can also choose to buy out of the parent help requirement if needed. The tuition is kept pretty low due to the development activities that all families participate in. This is a great community to get involved with.
