The principal at Roy Romer is a very nice, always friendly. The school is very clean and my child is very happy attending this school. Very great school, clean classes, great teachers.
It seems most of these reviews have actually been written by students - not parents. I'm a parent of a 7th grader at Romer. While I feel this school is a big step up from other schools it has much work to do to be a great school. I realize the school is in a majority latino area but not all parents speak Spanish as their first language so to receive phone calls from the school in Spanish is not desirable. They really should work on email newsletters including calendar reminders by email. It's much easier to keep track of events & days off when there is an auto email reminder (my child's prev. school provided this). As far as the extra activities - really music, art and P.E. should be basic - when did we start thinking of these as extra. Last some better office mgmt would be a +
This principals at this school are very nice and strict in a nice way so us kids can learn and do good.
I want to say that this school rocks! The principal and the data coordinator are strict but very fair and treat everyone very fairly. I tell all my friend to come here. It is a fantastic new school.
