My son went to this school for 2 years, and I would like to say that his grades were the best thanks to his teachers. With the exception of one teacher, (Mr. Chavez) that has a bad aptitude and I had to move my son to other class, we didn't have no incidents. Was his lost because my son was always getting diplomas for been a good student thanks to his efforts and to teachers like Mr. Gonzales, Mr.O'Brian, Mr. Hernandez and Mrs. Sahagian (She is the best) not only as a teacher, but they care so much for the kids so they help them a lot. Thanks to all of them for been excellent teachers"

I AM A STUDENT and La Merced Intermediate, is a school for bright young students who want to challenge themselves, the teachers are amazing, and i would say throughout the four years i was there i had a good relationship with all my teachers. The students are friendly and welcome you as you are. There is an AMAZING AVID program which stands for Advanced Via Individual Determination , which is for students who are being prepared for college, and have high hopes of attending some of the best schools in the country , your child will even go to college field trips to get an idea of college life, this is a program worth thinking about. We also have a music department, band, and orquestra, they hold performances during the school year, and go on a 1 night trip 2 day trip to San Diego to compete with other school. There is also the drama department, which preform a Christmas play during school and for the parents after school. The students ho attend La merced are very well behaved, and have a sense of where they are going in life, i would rate this school 5/5.

i am a student at LMI and i wouldnt say this school is good nor bad. Since 5th grade is now at the elementary school 6-8th grade has more space. which means only about 27 kids in each class. This a very good school with very good teachers and counselers but we are on the poor side..... Our school is not the richest and we have to do many fundraisers but they try their best to get all the students what they need. There is no more violence or fights at this school anymore maybe alittle trouble makers but thats it. it even sends the higher math students to take their class at the high school! i would go maybe for a year to see if you like it but 8th grades the best!!! you get to do so many things like the 8th grade dance,8th grade picnic, Disneyland!!!
