As a teacher myself, I tend to be very critical. I have found some of the most dedicated and excellent teachers in the world. My children have had wonderful experiences at the Miller School.

Wonderful school! Provides wide variety of activities including sports, science, arts, enrichment programs. High level of parent involvement. Amazing 1-on-1 reading recovery program. Caring and communicative administration. Encourages good social skills in addition to academic skills. Too much homework at a young age though.

I go in every Monday and help with the Kindergarten reading group or play word games. Then I eat lunch with my child. I also attend and bring things to all school parties. Since I volunteer only on Mondays I do not burn out. : )

Our school gives us mandatory hours (15) that we must give to the school in one way or the other. It is very easy if you don't mind stuffing envelopes or being a lunch mom. I think they even give working moms the opportunities to work on paperwork.... More »
