It's a fantastic school. We have great leadership. The teachers want to be at Willis Road because of the administration. In my opinion, we have the best elementary school in the county! It's going to be a great year.

I have 2 kids at WRE. The staff (cafe & custodians included, keep expectations high as far as behavior & learning. Awesome behavior program(EBIS) full of non-tangible rewards, praise, redirection,& conferences for consistent poor behavior situations. The RV hall(statistics) shows me that they know the community is watching and I like what I see. The monthly, school-wide newsletter includes comments regarding what each grade level is doing as well as invites for any parent to help. They even encourage parents to send in extra $ for those less fortunate to go on field trips to learn! Sp. ed. students are in many regular classes most of the day! I love this! Teachers don't appear to show favoritism with any one group.A bilingual teacher is needed since they have a balanced school regarding diversity. The PTO always asks for volunteers. Safety is important! They know it takes a pack to raise a wolf!

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
