Dicipline at this school is a problem... Principle does not follow a clear cut plan on dicipline... This school needs new leadership in a principle.. She does not attend any outings unless they are at the school.. and therefore the teachers do the same... Parents are wonderful... Principle not so much
My son attended Bartlett from Kindergarten thru Second grade. If it we had not moved, he would have taken advantage of a program offered at Bartlett for children that need more of a challenging curriculum. The teachers are fantastic, and everything about this school is first-rate.

Our son was in a private school and transfered to Salem Elementary in 2nd grade. We found South Lyon / Salem Elementary to be outstanding. This school provides each child an individual learning plan to accomodate each childs needs. Our son now is in the South Lyon Magnet Program (grades 3/4/5) at Bartlett Elementary. This school is very clean and friendly. The school has artwork throughout the building. The play grounds are very large with much to offer. There is much parent and community involvement (many special events and evening parties for the kids and parents). The curriculum is very advanced providing science projects such as electrical wiring (and engineering), advanced math, reading and writing. The kids are placed into work groups to work as a team and solve problems. Advanced thought processes are taught at a young age. The teachers and staff are very dedicated and caring.
