I graduated from this school a few years ago. Compared to schools in surrounding towns, this school is not too bad. The one thing I learned is to make right choices and you will have an enjoyable time. There are fights at this schools once in a while, but staff handles it very well. The one thing I do need to say, and it is not the schools fault, the district is not that great. I had a A+ in English and had a decent Terranova score, but they wanted me to be in reach (which is for kids preparing for GEPA that usually do not that well). This school does have a good amount of kids however crowding is not a problem. Besides little things, this school is great.
Exceptional teachers...organized, empathetic, challenging, interesting, in tune with the students! Great adminstration from the principal, vice principals all the way through the building! Dependable and friendly office staff. Wonderful support from counslers. Nurses are caring and intelligent! Security outstanding, custodial terrific, lunch room help and atmosphere surperb! Children are lucky to be blessed with such a fine school in the community! Keep up teh excellent work and high standards.HMSS is an example to all schools throughoutthe U.S. With Appreciation, Mrs. Callahan
In elementary school, my son, was an average student, quite unorganized w/not much motivation . Although 6th grade was a challenge, this school taught my son so much, for which I am forever grateful. We now live in KY and see how lucky he was to have a school that taught him strong academics, responsibility and organizational skills. I am proud to say, he is the student he is today, maintaining a 4.0 average in his senior year of high school and I attribute a great portion of it to HMS. I feel for my daughter, now in the 7th grade in KY, she will never get the education my son was lucky enough to receive. Hats off off to Howell Township Public Schools, your the best!
