This is my sons second year at Eagle PCS. I can honestly say his first year there was wonderful and I felt he was learning alot unfortunatley, I don't feel the same about the school this year. I almost feel as if my son was over prepared for his current grade and now he is just bored with the curriculum. The staff is rather friendly but they are out-weighed by all the days off from school and the horrible parking at the main campus. We only have a limited amount of time left in DC so I guess I can tough it out until then.

This is my childs first year at Eagle Academy and I am so far not totally impressed. I am actually on this site to compare schools in the area's academic scores etc. My child's teacher appears to be very strict which is required for some students I understand however not every child merits a brash demeanor. I am not sure that she is able to distinguish between those that do and those that do not. The new campus is very clean however I would like to have more security measures in place. The front desk is very unguarded and it is very easy to access the classrooms while going unnoticed by staff. This is a public charter school so I expected more than what I have been able to see from the before mentioned items. I am willing to wait it out because my child seems to be consistantly learning.

This is My son's first year and I am very impressed with the teachers and other faculty everone is so friendly. when you walk in it feels like family.
My son is going on his second year at Eagle Academy. We chose this school for the small class room size and for their early childhood curriculum. The school is not perfect, but the staff is great and very friendly with parents and it appears that all the teachers know each student whether they are in their class or not-which I like. Our child is in the non-category classroom and he has made significant progress since being there. If you have a child with learning delays or disablities, I recommend checking Eagle out for they have a dedicated group of special education educators whose motto is that the child comes first.
