Truly horrible school in every aspect. I couldn't have been less pleased with the teachers, the administration, and especially the student body.

There are some fantastic teachers who do genuinely care. There are some bad teachers who should go. The superintendent is retiring - a good thing. We need a superintendent who has integrity and the decency to deal with parents honestly.

This is a terrific school in a terrific district. The teachers genuinely care about the kids and are passionate about their work. There is an encouraging attitude aboutparental involvement and they are quick to contact you when something seems amiss, behavior and performance-wise. There are always people who will have their complaints, but they are not the norm here.

My child is very fortunate to attend South Orangetown Middle School. Although she is in a therapeutic classroom she is mainstreamed for about half of her academic courses and all of her specials (gym, art, music, etc). This has allowed her to be as independent as possible but still keeps supports in place when she may need them. The educators are some of the most dedicated, effective, innovative professionals I have ever encountered. My daughter is having a very positive and successful experience at this school. She made high honors her first marking period which makes me very proud of her and her teachers. I would like to see her involved in more extracurricular activities, perhaps that will happen in time. This is a wonderful school for my child.

By doing it in the funnest way possible,we have to make it exciting for them. Maybe reward them after they are done AND DID THERE BEST. Parents must be totally involved.

You shouldn't, have a study hall if they need help. When you learn you need a teacher, students can study on their own time.
