My son attended this school from preschool to 5th grade. All of his teachers were great. I think the teachers work really hard with the kids. I was kept informed about his progress at all times. This school has improved alot especially with test scores. There is nothing wrong with sending your child to this school /the steger schools.
There needs to be more programs in place for gifted students. STEP is great but I feel the teachers should be able to challenge the gifted students and not have to just worry about the discipline in the classroom. I have compared what my children are learning at Eastview with other school districts and our students are a year behind in education. What our children are being taught in 2nd grade, other districts have taught in 1st grade. If more time was allowed to the teachers for teaching the curriculum and less time on discipline and basic social skills, the district would possibly improve.
