thornridge is a great school to learn at. its fun to join there school activies and its safe place to be. i love thornridge high home of the falcons
I am a parent of a freshman student, so far through the registration process I have been very pleased. The organization and the movement of the parents. Many people simply complain about this or that but the fact is parents and students are just as responsible for the success or failure of a school as the institution itself. My child is an excellent student, for this to continue to be the case there are expectations that I must meet, my child must meet and that the school has to be made responsible to meet. I charge all Parents and Community leaders and anyone else concerned to take part in the educational process of the children. If the school is not living up to our expectation some how, join the PTA and Parent Advisory. Talk to the Principal and Administrators. Don't just gossip and complain because the community schools represent US
I hate Thornridge! It's terrible, if you had thoughts of sending your child there you should move somewhere far away!the teachers are great! But the students there don't want to learn and that takes time out of the class period, the hall sweeps are so stupid! The only thing good about Thornridge is the teachers
I have 2 children that currently attend Thornridge and I must say this is one of the worst high schools that I have seen in years. I now understand why the children that attend this school are so confused. The staff never knows what going on. The rules change from day to day. There's no communication with the parents. You can never get in touch with the principal. Problems that should be addressed are not. They suspend students for some of the most baffling reasons. I understand that children need to be disciplined but how can you expect your students to follow the rules when that staff has a problems enforcing the rules from start to finish. This school really needs to review the credentials of their staff members starting with the principal on down. Children spend more time on suspensions than they do learning.
