Warwick Valley High School appears an outstanding place for education, and can be, but it isn't as pretty as it looks. The school is constantly using unexperienced teachers who last only a couple of years and really hurt the students that they teach, as I've experienced quite often. The teachers that stay are for the most part very good. The administration is difficult, to put it simply. The Asst Principals and the Principal are often very unfair and don't look at things from both sides. The student body is a typical one for that of a public high school, but is often made worse by the administration. The town is rapidly growing, which is nice.

Sure this school is clean and looks nice and has prison-like security, but is that what actually matters? As part of the top 5% of my graduating class I'd say this place is a joke. I was rarely ever actually challenged and spent much of my time sleeping in class or in my car, while still maintaining high honors with 4's and 5's on multiple AP courses. It certainly did not prepare me for what college would be like, and critical thinking and class participation was rarely encouraged. Take a look at one of the other alumni's reviews, they seem barely able to comprehend simple English. While this town is not a bad place to grow up, and is getting crowded enough for the yuppies to be comfortable, I recommend finding somewhere that still hasn't been corrupted by cloning house syndrome.
