The principal and parents act like the school is their social gathering daily and gossiping about others in the school is more of a priority then acting Christian and teaching. The education is subpar and really focuses on the kids that are average or below. There are kids that fail the entrance exam to the catholic high schools. How pathetic is this?
Assumption is a wonderful school which offers a stringent academic curriculum as well as a strong moral curriculum. The teachers are caring and more than able to prepare our students for high school and beyond. The poor ratings some parents have given this school is due to a personal issue which they have made public. Please visit Assumption and you will see what a great place it is!!
This school really scores FAR above the average rating it gets here... and obviously there are disgruntled parents leaving negative information to tarnish this school's excellent reputation of fine moral character and superior academics. This school stands behind its teachers and supports its students 100%. Please take the time to visit this excellent school. (enrollment has even gone up considerably this school-year because caring parents have seen the value of a Catholic education!)
Assumption School in Belmont is fantastic! We have had children at the school for over 10 years and have been blessed with the results. Our children are focused, kind, and excel academically thanks to a caring and exceptional staff. The parents are very involved and friendly. The class size is smaller (around 15 - 20 per class) which allows the teachers to focus on each child's progress. The test scores are through the roof and the kids excel in high school when they come from an Assumption Education. If you are looking for a great education, moral focus, and all of the extra curricular activities, Assumption is the place for your family.
