Isleton School has endured through all of the reconstruction of the school last year and began this year with a whole new building, computer lab, and media center. Isleton continues to impress on the academic front. They are a powerhouse for academics, the just posted an API of 775, which is close to a 100 point increase over the last two years, which proves that education did not suffer, even in the worst of conditions, we hope to go over 800 this year in the better learning environment of our new buildings. Isleton now has strong leadership and a strong teaching staff. Our only complaint is the ratio of Hispanic students far outweighs others.
Isleton School has undergoing great changes. It is under reconstruction and in the process of updating the buildings. The new playground for grade K is much safer. Right now things are tough because classes are being held in the gym and cafeteria. However, in the long run the changes will defiantly be worthwhile. I feel the teachers are doing their best to educate our children even under such poor building conditions.

We are very disappointed with Isleton School because of their academic focus on Math to the point of exclusion of Science, Reading Comprehension, English, Health and Physical Education, is putting our child behind in those important subjects. Our child is excelling in math, however that does not hold true for the rest of the subjects that are just as important. When a child can not construct a proper sentence, or write a report in fifth grade, red flags are raised, and frankly that is quite alarming.
