My son completed his first year here last year (2008-2009). It was seriously confusing for all of us. The school is not easily navigated educationally. I felt just as frustrated as my son with not really knowing what was going on or where to go to find out about things. This is also the first year the fifth graders were moved out of the elementary level to this middle school...which is rediculous. Everything was very chaotic and rushed. Even at parent conferences there was not much information given and the teachers were clearly in a hurry to leave. The education level was really great though. My son is very advanced and there are programs in math, reading, and language arts that pushed him to his limits...in a good way. There is an afterschool program for students to get additional help from any/all teachers, which can be voluntary or mandated by teachers.

Good quality education. Supportive administration, Teaching staff is very concerned about well being of the students.

My child is in 8th grade (8B). Most of the teachers do a wonderful job at emailing me if my son is falling behind before it's to late for him to get caught up. They really care about the students. They also answer my emails in a timely fashion. I also think the K12 planet website is a great website to view the progress of my child's grades and homework assignments. I am very pleased with this school in this aspect.
