Franklin has an aura of purity and value that has been tainted by State evaluations of numbers/scores that (in my opinion) skews the wholesome benefit it provides its students, teachers, parents, and the Anoka Community. Pure scholastic achievement does not a whole person make. Granted that learning velocity is important (vs. stagnancy), but if you look at the whole entity, from classroom to lunchroom, every staff member is dedicated to enriching your child's life. I've had two daughters pass through each grade, and they (despite my input) turned out to be phenominal students, valuable members of the community, and pleasant individuals to be around. Franklin is an excellent institution and it works! Kudos to Mrs. Spindler for keeping the tradition going.

Frankin is an awesome school. The staff knows all the children by first name (even if they are not your child's teacher.) They really do care about your child. My daughter is in 1st grade and 2nd year at Franklin. They have a reward system for the younger grades to help them excel. If they have a good day then they have a Green Day. If they had a little problem not wanting to participate, ect. they have a Yellow Day. If they have a really really bad day they are put on Red. Their goal is to have an awesome day which is Purple. I have never seen any reward system in other schools but it goes to show how effective it is.

A great school with great spirit! Our daughter has attended since first grade and is currently in 4th grade. The teachers and staff are excellent. If Franklin went private tomorrow, I would ask how much tuition was!
