I am the parent of 3 children attending Beacon Charter High School. Beacon is an amazing school. My oldest son was told to simply give up and quit High School by the administration from another school. We stumbled upon Beacon and made the transfer. Within weeks of attending Beacon I witnessed my child transform from being depressed, unhappy, un-motivated, with no self esteme into a confident, spirited, determined, successful young man. I completely attribute these changes in him to the unique commaraderie promoted between students and faculty. Teachers truly care about the students and are committed to helping them achieve their goals. Beacon has an extremely diverse population with a family oriented atmosphere that makes it so effortless for these kids to learn and succeed. I can't thank Beacon and the staff enough for all they do! Beacon by far is the Number 1 school in RI. Respectfully submitted: Sue Senra

Beacon charter high school was a great decision for me. the teachers cared about the students, the students were eager to learn and everyone got along. Going to Beacon opened my eyes to many things i wouldn't have expected from i high school. Having attended the school from my freshman year, i beleive that the school was an amazing place and a great lerning enviroment. If you are considering sending your child to this school i would strongly recommend it. If your child is interested in the arts Beacon is a great place for them to broaden their horizon. -Submitted by former student body president, Nicholas R. Beaudoin

I am very pleased that my children attended Beacon. They have been there since 9th grade and are graduating 6-10-08. The teachers at this school go far beyond what other teachers will do with students to insure that the students work to their full potential. They help students with work, projects and there are many extra curricular activities that the students can participate. I believe it is the teacher involvement that helps the Beacon student attain their goals in the school. This is by far the best school I have seen, where the student actually comes first!

As a Beacon graduate and a mother-to-be I am proud to have been part of what can only be called the 'Beacon' experience. There were hard times and good times, but I would not have traded them for the world and hope to someday have my child share similar experiences someday by also going to Beacon. Beacon turned my life around and I know many more that can say the same about Beacon and their teachers.

Absolutely, because kids are an integral part of their own success. If they are forced into uncomfortable situations they shut down. If they explore their interestes..they blossom. Love not conformity.
