I love the Festus school district. When looking to purchase a home, we specifically looked in the Festus School District, and have not been disappointed!

We have a 2 kids at this school and today i was forced to pick up our daughter at 10 am and bring her back at 11:10 because of there 24 hour rule the doctor cleared her yesterday said she was not contages and she felt fine. We have a son in second grade who has only brought home homework 3 days in two months we have not recieved any test scores in months and when we talked to the teacher she says she has been busy and has not had the time the principal said we should work it out with the teacher not his problem.

I have a daughter the use to go to Festus Elementary and I can not say enough about how happy she was there. I know the staff at that school does go the extra mile to make learning fun! I never had any complaints about that school. Now we are in a different school district and trying hard to come back to Festus schools.

I go in every Monday and help with the Kindergarten reading group or play word games. Then I eat lunch with my child. I also attend and bring things to all school parties. Since I volunteer only on Mondays I do not burn out. : )

Our school gives us mandatory hours (15) that we must give to the school in one way or the other. It is very easy if you don't mind stuffing envelopes or being a lunch mom. I think they even give working moms the opportunities to work on paperwork.... More »
