I visted Cater Elementary in Temple, Texas this afternoon and was very impressed. Beginning with the office personel to meeting with Ms. Santiago the assistant principal to Mr. Dixon and all of my grandson's instructors, I was very impressed. The level of caring and tolerance for 1st graders was awesome. Cater elementary is a great school with a staff of true professionals that I remember only back in the old days when instructors were true in their pursuit of teaching our next generation. Kudos to the the wonderful staff at Cater Elementary. God Bless them all...

Laurie Sims is the best teacher in Temple. She may be the best in Texas. She teaches first grade. The other teachers we have had were great too.

Cater is a great school which blends a diverse population very well. Both of my sons went to Cater and my wife and I could not be happier with the overall education that they received. I would recomind that anyone new to Temple shop for a home in this district just as we did.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
