My daughter went all the way through this school and she is ready for college now. Kidding ... the girl is smarter then me now, well almost. This is a really great school. I wish I could have gone here.

We have had children attend Brockett Elementary since 2002 and my youngest child has been there from pre-k to 5th grade. He will be graduating this year and we are very pleased with this school. Brockett teachers and administsrative staff are awesome and are meeting the needs and honoring the diversity of the school. It's a great blend of children and we couldn't asked for a better experience.

Brockett is the best kept secret in DeKalb County. The atmosphere is one of teaching and learning. Academic success for all students is what the entire faculty and staff strives for. Excellent!

I went to Brockett for a long time. Brockett is a great school. There were never fights. The teachers really care about you. The food can be good at times but it was mainly bad. You dont have to do a lot of homework or projects. If you swear or say anything innapropiate they will make a huge deal about it. Brockett is like any other school it has its ups and downs but trust me it got more ups than downs.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
