My daughter is in her third year of attending AHS and she loves the school. The teachers make themselves available and there are many teachers willing to help scoot kids along the right path. they take above and beyond risks to help out the kids, and the magnet school makes extra courses available. i love this school and everything that i've heard about drugs and violence is untrue.

I am a student at Aberdeen High School. The academic curriculum of the school are set at challenging bars. This also depends on whether or not you are in their magnet school, the SMA. I plan on taking extra courses this summer there to advance into honors or SMA level. Academically I believe the school is set. On the other hand I think it could be less boring there if we had more pep rallies or dances to keep us excited. Fights and violence are also very rare. Overall I am attending a great school that will, if I take advantage of the opppurtunity, prepare me for college.

I was unsure about whether or not this school would be best for my child. I had heard about a lot of violence--however, she graduated last year and my youngest daughter has just began school here and I can tell you they've experienced no problems, none of what I heard of and I wonder where it all originated from. But really, I'm just glad that my daughter's time there was very beneficial and enjoyable, and I'm sure my youngest will have just as good time, if not better!:) This is a great school.

Aberdeen High School is a great school. This is my daughters first year there and I must say that her experience there is great thus far. She loves the school. She is very involved with after school activities such as sports, all year round. Her teachers as well as her coaches are very supportive and nurturing of the students and parents. I keep contact with all of her teachers and coaches via email and they are wonderful. My daughter is averaging a 3.5 GPA at the school. The principal makes himself available as well as the guidance counselors. Aberdeen High School is a diverse school which is wonderful for the community which includes Aberdeen Proving Grounds. In addition, Aberdeen High School is a brand new state of the art school.

16 for double dating, and 18 by themselves. So many kids are put in situations that they do not have the capacity to guage!
