I'm a former student and currently active duty military and my opinion about WRHS is that some of the teachers did not take teaching students seriously. Of course they had to show up to make the monthly bills but they always just told us what to do and not got actively involved. A handfull of teachers were very helpfull and I looked at them as mentors. What else could you expect from a public school with a limited amount of budget. Yes they need more hands on programs but they also need to get budget approval based on the amount of students attending.

I believe the prior administation (Dr. Dennison) was starting to make a change for the betterment of our future taxpayers. But they were cut short! I graduated from WRHS, and as a parent, I believe you get out of it....what you put into it. Our students now, need parent involement more than anything in the world. We could put the best curriculum in their hands, but if it's not echoed at home, then it does the students no good.

I seriously believe this school WRHS needs serious improvements and definitely parent involvement. Our students can't continue alone, we as parents cannot shun our kids aside and let them at it alone because when they graduate they start worrying about the outside and wondering if they can contend with it and they would rather stay in high school. As single parents we need to take time to be with our kids during their school activities and support them, this includes their daily activities at the school meaning you sit in their classroom and observe, share your understanding, give them guidance and love them with all your heart because we only live once.

I think WRHS is a good school, my daughter graduated from there and she thinks it's a good school based on your own behaviour. Academic Programs: I think the academic programs should have more hands-on type of programs to prepare the students for jobs also for college bound students. Parent involvement: This very important but a lot of us parents don't go to the school to talk with teachers about the progress of our children.
