My grandson started Alton Middle School in 2005-2006 school year. He was not motivated to even open a book and he did not attempt to study. His grades were below average all year. I worked very closely with the teachers, the social worker and the assistant 6th grade principle. They were great about calling and keeping me up to date on my grandson's progress, they worked hard to keep him in school and worked with him constantly to learn new coping behaviors and strategies for dealing with learning issues. It was a rough year for everyone involved but it worked. This year his first progress report was all A's and one B+. And he does homework every night without being told. I praise the Staff at Alton Middle School Eagle's Nest for the help and support we received last year. I think they are on the right track.
