Pine Ridge is excellent school. Pine Ridge Leadership is committed to the students success in the classroom. Teachers are willing to work with parents to help provide the students assistance needed for success.

I think the academic programs are great but the teachers need to communicate much better with the parents on the progress of the children. There is not enough interaction unless you can be at the school every week interacting with your child's teacher, you're lost and if the child does not understand what he or she is being taught you as the parent have to take an active part in tutoring your child to improve their grades. It's a parent -participation affair. If you don't take an active part in being parent plus teacher, your child will suffer in this school. Parents definitely have to stay on their toes and become more active in their child's education here.

We moved here last year, and my son started school at the end of the first week of the school year. My son has always been an A student. Fortunately that has remained the same for the most part. But he complains about teachers attitudes all the time. They seem to ignore his needs and those of other children in the class. They have very little freedom, and seem to be segregated between those whose parents take an active part and those whose parents don't. Most days and even weekends he comes home with no homework. He doesn't appear to be challenged by the work. My interactions with the principal have been positive thus far, but most of the other supportive staff leave a lot to be desired. Sub teachers are ridiculous. The staff have good ideas, but it appears that most of them do not have kids at heart.
