I am not a parent but I did attend Chesnee High School and am a recent graduate. My education from there was one that I will never forget and cherish for a lifetime. In response to the comment about all students going to uscs or no where at all and having no responsiblity, well that angers me. That is a total LIE. It is not Chesnee's fault. The education is there, it is up to the student to take on the responsibility to make something of his or her self. The education is top ranked in South Carolina, do your research, and I attend the College of Charleston and I am VERY PROUD to have attended Chesnee High School. I plan on teaching math there in the future and I would recommend it even to Bill Gate's or The President's children. It is the person that decides their future.

Chesnee High is a small school that may not be able to offer quite as many extras as the larger schools. But we cannot equate quantity with quality. As a graduate of CHS I received a top quality education and a full scholarship to college. I have received both a bachelors and masters degrees and attribute much of my success to my formative years in the Chesnee schools. Perhaps the previous writer needs to be educated on all of the advantages of small schools and small town life.

It is critical to the success of the school. Great leadership means great students and staff very high moral at the school.

Very important - a school and its staff is only as strong as is leader. If the school has strong leadership then the school will also be strong.
