I go to Garnet Valley High School and absolutely love every bit of it. The teachers, to students, and especially the unity between everyone at the school. You can basically compare the football games to a mini Penn State. Everyone comes out, the band, the cheerleaders, the fans. It's a great feeling when you look around and see your school as a team. Also, if you are looking for a school that has a wide variety of sports and activities, GV is the right school. The class choices are fantastic too.

If you child has special needs at all, Skip this district! We moved to this district to integrate our special needs child with so called regular kids. The kids are very clicky, over privileged. Entering a child into the elementary now high school level has been nothing but a nightmare. Teachers can not handle these students or just don't want to. There is very little guidance and dangerous bullying. Almost every parent I have met with a special child has taken there child out of the public school and have placed them back in the special schools. Designer drug use is also extremely wide spread and school taxes are so not worth the extremely high price we pay. The schools are attractive and new if that's all you really care about. Like sports...they have plenty. I am very disappointed, I expected so much more for my money!

Despite the growth in population, GVHS has done an excellent job of holding all students to high expectations. The building is going through renovations in order to provide state of the art facilities. The staff does a good job of maintaining contact with parents. I feel that the school is safe.

The academic programs found at Garnet Valley are extensive and beneficial to all students. Garnet Valley provides an excellent education to all students while helping to develop social and professional skills. The academic programs found at Garnet Valley range from AP classes to Track three classes. By having this, this school provides ample opportunity for students on many levels to recieve a free and valuable education. Garnet Valley provides students with the chance to participate in many different activities. To begin, the music program is of average to above average size giving students the opportunity to participate in a variety of bands, singing groups, musicals, color guard, while attending a variety of competitions. With this, the sports program are open to all students but is usually based on student ability and talent. Finally, the extracurricular activities are everywhere from FBLA to Drama Club.
