Aiken High School

bullying! Teachers do nothing about the bullying. They just tell the students to ignore it and they will stop. News Flash it doesn't work especially on the north side kids!

I attended AHS in the 70ty and it was one of the best hight schools in the state. We get out school what we put into school, you can blame the thachers if you want to, but it is the students that make it work or not work. If you do your part you will get one of the best hight school educatinos in the state of S.C.. Just wanted to say thanks to all of the teachers that put so much in me.

Loved Aiken High when I was there! If you don't excel here, it's because you're lazy. Plain and simple. And I say that as someone who was lazy in high school but excelled greatly in college. Overall, the teachers are very good and work well with the students.

This is truly an awful school. I have been to schools in third world countries that are better maintained and have more up to date equipment. The student advisors are overworked and unless your child is a discipline problem or a 4.0 student you will receive no help at all. The german program is great but unfortunately that is the only program in the school that is worth mentioning.

AHS is a wonderful high school. When we relocated to this area, we considered living in Aiken, Augusta, and even Lexington. We found that AHS offers our son everything he needs. He has excellent teachers who challenge and inspire him, he has met great friends who are good kids, and he participates in meaningful extracurricular activities. We feel confident that his experiences at AHS will have him well-prepared for college.

Aiken High School is what you want to make it. If your there to learn, that is what you will find. But if your there for drama you will find that too. I aslo find that many teachers do not care about teaching, but the few who actually care make up for all of the others. So overall it depends on what you want from Aiken High School in order to fight that if your looking for the bad it will be found , but so will the good.

My daughter attends this school. You have to pick and choose which teachers you get, but you can get a rock-solid ecudation at Aiken HS. My only complaint is that she does not write much in her English classes.

This is not a good school. I have/had three kids going to this school. The teachers do not want to take the time to teach your kids right.

Aiken High is the most well-rounded school I have seen. I had three children graduate from there and all received excellent attention, individualized to their needs and personalities. From technology to sports, an absolutely incredible place for children to learn and grow.

Aiken High is the best school all around. The teachers are amazing, the faculty is very nice, there are tons of things to do after school or during school. Aiken High has the best courses to take with a variety of classes to meet your interest. The campus is really big but it gets kids ready for college, with all the walking. Aiken High is the only school in Aiken County to have the IB program, which should say something. All the kids get along very well. My kids would definately go to Aiken High!

Aiken high is an awesome school. I think there should be more pep rallies though. But other than that it is the best school in aiken maybe even south carolina. Everyone gets along pretty well and unlike the school on the south side you arent judged by the clothes you wear or the car you drive but by your personality and how you act. But go hornets.

Aiken High School is the BEST high school in Aiken County! The teachers are great and the other staff members are even better! There are tons of activities for students, no matter what your interest is. Althouogh the campus is big, you DO have 6 minutes to get to each class, which is more than enough. Again, I would like to praise the faculty and staff and thank them for all thier hard work and dedication!

Aiken high is truly an aweful school. It is so big that you don't get nearly enough attention from the teachers. I admit that there are some truely awesome teachers.. but hardly. A lot of them are quite boring and have several jokes targeting them from the students. I have been to a whole lot of schools and I would honestly have to say that Aiken is the worst one I've ever been at. When I have children it would be the last place I'd let them go to school at. It's not safe at all.To keep your kid safe and to be able to learn at the extent of their knowledge, keep your kid out of Aiken.

Aiken High School Rocks!!The teachers are good,and there are tons of things to do after school.The only drawbacks are the long walks...the campus is huge. Aiken high has 2 gyms and 2 cafeterias.That should give you a hint of how large it is.
