I went to this school and doing the time there I know my mom didnt have problem with the teacher nor principal. Having a child there that they suspend from kindergarden but dont give you correct accusations on what really happened. I feel like a lot at tha school has changed and is not like wha it used to be.

At MLE some teachers know most of the students names from cd-3 up to 6 grade. I think this is because the school is small enough to care in this BIG way,but large enough to offer a well rounded education. Past students of MLE have gone to become doctors teachers and many other great things. I am proud to say I have a child that goes to MLE. The teachers he has had, have been very understanding of his needs and worked with him one to one to help him improve as much as he could. Im sure they will do the same this year as they have in the past.

I too have a son that attends McCrorey-Liston and I am well-pleased with the faculty and staff. This school is a place of learning and the teachers do a great job. My son is learning not only to read but has learned strategies that he'll use throughout life. I am thankful for the academics and the moral and values that the staff at MLE are helping to instill in him. The problem is that most parents in this area are not open to change. In the past teachers and principals played a big part in helping to raise children. Now the teachers have to work with what parents send to school. The teachers can't raise the children they can only do their best to teach them and from I have witnessed, MLE is doing a great job. Keep up the good work and may God continue to bless the faculty, staff, and student body.

AS the parent of a child at McCroey-Liston Elementary, I would like to say I think we are doing much better know. We have some wonderful teachers who love the childern and try to help any way they can. Some of the teachers at McCrorey-Liston Elementary School have been at this one school for over 20 years. I know for some teaching is not just a job (or a pay check) it is a way of life. The thing to remeber is that school is only part of 'the village' rasing our childern today. The parents have to take part in rasing their childern. This can be done by going to the school without being ask by teachers and listening to the teachers.

This school has truly changed for the worst since Mr.Johnson was moved to another school a couple of years ago. When he left, it seems like all the good teachers left as well. I have a son who attends this school and I was very distrub of what I saw. Teachers are not able to control their class rooms. Students are out of their seats and the children are speaking their teacher any kind of way. This is truly not acceptable. We need leaders in our classrooms, not just someone who is trying to receive a paycheck. We need teachers who are willing to help the children. I know that some children come from broken homes and some raise themselves but our teachers should be that role model and tell our children that they are going to make it, or encourage them to do better.
