School lunches are horrible. I went to lunch with my child on several occasions and every time the food was worse than the time before. The lunch lady was on a power trip and yelled at the children often. They didnt have enough time to eat before they were shuttled outside for recess. The kids seemed to eat the 'desserts' of their lunches and nothing else. If you want nutrition for your child then you better pack them a lunch. Although the meal were obviously centered on nutrition the children were not eating nutriciously at all.
