P.S:I work 3 jobs, full time college student, pres. of prof. org., high gpa, run marathons and have a great social life. When did I learn?...through the increasing amount of homework in K-12! Call your rep. if it's too much...not the teachers!

School will not get easier. Kids don't pay attention all 7hrs so sometimes they do not catch all the material. Contact the teacher, don't blame them. Work hard or get "left behind"! Difference in generations: now you should "relax" & not work hard?

I am the proud parent of a 4th grader. Since we entered the 1st grade, The level of homework from our school is crazy. There simply is no time for play, or after school activities. No wonder our children are over weight. Balance People

Why i believe homework is a critical part of learning. It appears sometimes its a time issue rather than a learning issue. Not enough time to complete in class - so take it home. extend the school day.

I don't think we should put a time limit on it. If it takes 2 hours to read a book and then analyze it by answering questions and discussions. Then that's how long it takes. The reason our kids don't compare we'll to other kids is the limits we place

I think homework time should go down as you get older because things like work and extracurricular activities start to become priorities as well. You can't do a part-time job, full-time school, AND 3 hours of homework and stay sane (stress-free)!

No more than 20-30 minutes per day. The kids spend the entire day studying at school... all they should have to worry about at home is playing, exploring and being kids!

I think 5-15 minutes its ok. but most importantly is the parent involvement like reading with your child, showing them good habits, morals and been a good row model for them is the best kind of after school homework you could give a child.
