I attended Greenbrier Elementary and am pleased that my children attend the same wonderful school as my husband and I. This school is part of a wonderful and caring community that has lots of pride in its young Bobcats. We did experience a little bump in the road, but thanks to an administration change this year, our school is again one of the best! Many of the teachers and staff are from this community, as well as the current administrator. The compassion and respect they show the students is remarkable. I am proud to be a part of the Bobcat community!

I have been very pleased with my child's education at Greenbrier Elementary. My child's teachers are excellent, and he has always had very good teachers. I believe the administration and staff are making learning a top priority. I wouldn't want him to go anywhere else.

I have one child who spent about 2 months there and we yanked him out because we feel his needs were not being met. Some members of the staff were snappy and aides were unhelpful and uncaring. The classroom seemed to be terribly understaffed.

This is my child's second year at this school, and I feel unwelcome anytime I go to the school. The staff is rude and doesn't make you feel like you are even in existence. They only reward the students whose parents donate money for whatever they are collecting for the week. good behavior and good grades are hardly even acknowledged but , if your child makes on elittle mistake they are going to cause a big fuss. I hope we move next year so my child can go to a diff school.

After our child attended private school we decided to try public schools and we enrolled our child at Greenbrier Elementary. I have never been so disappointed in a school. There is no parent involvement. They don't want you there. I was not able to walk my child to class. They choose hand sanitizer instead of soap & water after using the bathroom. I never once seen any art papers & the only song my child learned was about the school rules. Our child came from a school where every child was involved in every activity, at GES they pick and choose based on grades and behavior. Also, your child gets rewarded for making donations to the school or other charitable organizations. What kind of message is that sending your child? They don't keep there doors locked which is a safety concern. My child was very unhappy and will not be returning.

This school needs improvement in the academic programs. An emphasis on phonics in ALL of the K-3 classes would be a great beginning. If a child needs extra help in any subject, be prepared, as a parent or guardian, to do that work yourself. { If you are willing to have your child diagnosed with a 'problem' by a physician then the child will get some 'special' help through the 'system'.} Be prepared to call the school on a weekly basis to follow through with your requests.

Greenbrier offers a caring nurturing environment for my children. It fosters effective study habits and exceptional character. The school is lead from the heart not fom the TCAP scores. Additional emphasis is based on family, service, and community building. The resources appear to to maxamized through the vigilant efforts of Administration and Staff. Parent involvement is welcomed and appreciated. Kudos to the Faculty!
