This is so true. My child is able to read the sight words she has memorized. However if I was to ask her to write me a short story it would not be written correctly. The story would be written in a way that you can tell she is sounding the words out. The children are not taught the basic consant blends and vowels and how they work together to form words. If you are a parent that wants the best start for reading and understanding word stucture. Please place your child in a good private school that teaches these fundamentals, and as early as pre-k your child can be reading. Faith Christian in Jamestown is teaching these basics. Care enough about your child's future and education to give them the best head start to life. A concerned Parent.

My Grandson Caleb D. Neal attends Pine Haven. He is in Ms. Cassy Williams Kindergarden class. Everytime we see him he has learned something new. He tells us how to eat more healthy, and his counting and reading are coming along so good. Whatever your paying this Teacher is not enough, she is a great educater and an asset to her profession. Gregory P. Krauter a proud Grandfather.

My son has attended 1st and 2nd grade at Pine Haven Elementary. It has wonderful teachers. They are caring and treat each child like they are their own. Mrs. Sandy (2nd grade) has assisted in the deeper development of my child s reading and math skills.
