This is our second year at KMS and we could not be happier with the facility, staff and learning environment. We feel that the primary class (ages three through six) has been able to be nurturing while simultaneously encouraging your child's independence. There is no standard curriculum and the child is encouraged to learn and master both life and academic skills. The staff really wants your child to be curious and love to learn while developing a healthy respect for their environment and each other. We also love the school's diversity and feel that it is remarkably inclusive of cultural and religious differences. We were completely new to the Montessori style of learning and not sure if it was right for us but it has definitely been right for our son. The way he leaps out of the car in the morning and runs into school or talks about his lessons is heartwarming. We also notice that he is a calmer, more focused child and find this to be the general demeanor of most of the children in the school, including the older ones in the elementary program.
I have two children at KMS and plan to enroll my third. The school does an excellent job of helping the child move forward with their strenghts and not feel lost in areas where they maybe behind. Both of my children love going to school and we enjoy the community.
This is my son's first year not being at home with his mom. He is 4 and had done a fantastic job at KMS. This school is by far the best school for our son. The teachers are great and he enjoys each day he is there.
