Both of my children graduated from this school. The faculty and staff are great, knowlegeable, caring and dedicated to the learning and wholeness of each student who is willing to be taught.

East High School is no longer an optional school it is a joke! under the current leadership of this principal Mr. Curry ,he lacks communication skills in how to deal with students and parents.

In the 80's and 90's, East provided excellent educational programs in science and engineering. The had wonderful faculty members such as Mrs.Amelia Johnson and Mrs. Mary Lambert. Mr. Ronnie Bynum was a very supportive administrator. Many of the graduates earned National Merit Honors and attended some of the best colleges and universities.

This school is high on its social standards. Everyone seems to get along well, but that should not be the only thing considered when choosing the best school for your child. It's teachers are poor, and the guidance counselors have so much work put on them that they can't do their most important jobs-helping the kids.

I think that East has helped my child in learning about the 'Real World'. I took her out of Harding Academy and she has adjusted well and has kept her grades up. The principals have made sure that the work is not too easy. 'East is Excellence'.
