Great teachers, principal, and community of parents! Spanish Immersion program. Very active and supportive PTO!

School year has just started and we are VERY disappointed. This is our first year and there have been so many disturbing things I cannot even begin to detail. The teacher we have will not even look at emails. The principal is condescending and patronizing.

The teachers are genuinely interested in the children, both academically and socially. The support the students in extra-curricular activities. The parents' commitment to the school is beyond any that I have ever seen. This is a first-rate school!

This is the school you imagined when your child was still a toddler---it absolutely resonates with an atmosphere of happiness and excitement. Great academics, enthusiastic parents, joyful students are just the beginnings. The spanish immersion is a great bonus to an already excellent school!

A truly great 'public' school in every sense of the word. Community spirit involved in everything they do. A wonderful village in which to educate our kids.

5 years ago when we moved back to Nashville we specifically chose to purchase our home in the Glendale school district. We have not been disappointed! Our 3rd Grader loves it and our son can't wait for Kindergarten to start. The faculty and families have made it a feel like home. I feel lucky to be apart of such a great community.

Glendale is a great community that not only invests in the school and students but also looks for opportunities to invest in Nashville and beyond. Through programs like the school garden and Glendale Gives, Glendale makes a genuine effort to demonstrate what it means to the students to give back! I also love the opportunity to learn a second language.

I love the community of dedicated and caring parents and teachers who patiently work to teach and nurture the kids.

All schools need a hand! But this school is a fantastic place for learning and should benefit from a few extra bucks! or maybe 20, 000 extra bucks!

Posted May 20, 2010

Glendale thrives on (1) passionate parents (2) eager students (3) the zeal of our teachers and staff (4) supportive community. Our school's rise to excellence over the 6 years we have been open is a tribute to all of the 'Glendale family' - we are one of the most desirable and successful elementary schools in MNPS, we annually have a kindergarten wait list that could fill 8 more classrooms, and we flourish despite having the additional undertaking of teaching a 2nd language without any supplemental financial support. Glendale Rocks!
