Parents with children requiring Special Education support should NOT send their children to Oak Ridge Public Schools. While the teachers and principals are caring, hard-working people, the Special Education program in this school system simply does not have the facilities, skills and capacity to handle special needs children. We had a very sad experience. We removed our child from this system and all is very well now but we worry terribly about other children who are struggling and unable to get the help they need.

My son is a 1st grader at Glenwood. I can not say enough wonderful things about this school and the teachers there. He is already writing in cursive, and reading 3rd grade level chapter books. They are amazing!
